Debbie Rotsaert

Office Manager

Debbie began working with River Valley Sports & Physical Therapy in September 2003 as an opportunity to work part time, close to home while raising her children. After seventeen years, Debbie enjoys connecting and working within the community, as well as being accessible to the needs of her family. 

Debbie is married to Jeff and they have three children: Taylor, Max, and Nathalie.

Food she loves: steak

Bucket list: travel more

Favorite movie: Shawshank Redemption

Hobbies: most outdoor activities, reading books

Thomas Nelson

Therapist, Owner

Tom graduated in 1998 with a degree in Physical Therapy. He has worked in River Falls for 22 years, opening River Valley Sports and Physical Therapy in 2002. Tom enjoys seeing a wide variety of patients from young to old, elite athlete to weekend warrior. Developing patient relationships and helping patients achieve their goals is why he loves being a PT. Tom feels blessed living in the wonderful town of River Falls, working with a great team, and doing a job he loves. 

Tom is married to his wife Kathi and they have three children: Gabe, Abbie, and Aleah

Food he loves: pie

Bucket list: visit each of the U.S. National Parks

Favorite movie: Gladiator

Hobbies: hiking and biking…and eating pie

Beth Senoraske

Therapist

Beth has been practicing physical therapy since graduating with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Catherine University in 1999, and she joined River Valley Sports and Physical Therapy in 2003. Beth enjoys working with all age groups from children through the elderly. She likes the idea of combining her knowledge and skills as a PT with her patient’s participation in his/her therapy through exercise and education. She enjoys helping patients reach their goals, and at the same time, empowering them to become part of the recovery process. She feels that working together in this way is the most rewarding aspect of her career.

Beth feels very fortunate to both live and work in the town of River Falls. She lives with her husband, Brian, daughter Jordyn, and golden retriever Shadow. 

Food she loves: chocolate

Bucket list: travel to Australia and spend a month exploring/hiking/immersing in the culture, later in life spend winters in a warmer climate

Favorite movie: anything on the Hallmark channel, especially Christmas movies!

Hobbies: running trails and roads, lifting weights, hiking, traveling, reading, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Ryan Purfeerst

Therapist

Ryan is from River Falls and enjoys living in the community and everything it has to offer. He has been involved with River Falls Youth Hockey and was a member of the River Falls Fire department. Ryan graduated in 2001 with his Masters in Physical Therapy from St. Catherine University. After graduating he became certified as a strength and condition specialist CSCS from the National Strength and condition Association NSCA. Ryan enjoys working with patients and using his expertise and experience to set patients up with a program they can use to achieve their goals, including returning to an active lifestyle. 

Ryan has worked as a Physical Therapist in a variety of settings including hospitals, a back and neck clinic, and skilled nursing units, and joined the RVSPT team in 2013. He specializes in orthopedic outpatient treatment.

Ryan is married and has two daughters.

Food he loves: grilled porterhouse steak and Steve’s Pizza

Favorite movie: Bourne Identity

Hobbies: hockey, boating, spending time with family
